Candidates must have prior experience serving as the lead superintendent for a general contractor on a commercial project with a minimum contract value of $15 million. The ideal candidate has managed a project from start to finish, including mobilization, subcontractor coordination, schedule management, inspections, closeout, and owner turnover. This position is not intended for candidates whose experience is limited to residential construction, trade contractor supervision, interiors-only work, punch-list work, or assistant superintendent responsibilities. Responsibilities Lead and manage on-site construction activities for complex commercial projects, ensuring all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and safety standards. Coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction scheduling tools to meet critical deadlines. Supervise and manage teams of subcontractors and on-site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to interpret project requirements accurately. Oversee quality control processes to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations. Lead, attend, and participate in OAC meetings and weekly foreman's meetings. Enforce federal construction safety regulations such as OSHA standards, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions. Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed construction schedules and ensure seamless schedule coordination across all phases of the project. Utilize construction management software like ProCore, Bluebeam, and other tools for documentation, tracking progress, and communication. Skills Proven experience supervising large-scale commercial construction projects valued at $15 million or more
REQUIRED.
Extensive knowledge of construction management practices, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. Strong understanding of safety regulations (OSHA) and experience implementing safety protocols on-site. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in managing contracts and coordinating multiple subcontractors while maintaining project timelines. Hands-on experience with construction site activities including supervision of tradespeople and review of construction drawings. Candidates with school construction experience are highly preferred.
