A Construction Manager manages construction projects from project planning through completion. Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in underground utility estimating. Familiarity with water, sewer, storm, and roadway bid preparation is expected. This position is in-office (no remote or hybrid work) and involves reviewing bid documents, performing takeoffs, and preparing competitive proposals for public works projects. This role supports our estimating and project planning efforts and requires familiarity with bid preparation for water, sewer, storm drainage, and roadway projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material lists from civil construction drawings and specifications Read and interpret public works bid documents, plans, and specs Assist in identifying viable civil underground utility projects to bid Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes Prepare cost estimates and complete bid proposals Manage bid documents, timelines, and submittals Handle submittals, vendor communications, and material procurement Use and adapt to various estimating software platforms Support project management and coordination duties as needed
Qualifications:
Required:
1-2 years of underground utility or civil sitework estimating experience (public works strongly preferred) Experience reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications Familiarity with water, sewer, storm, and roadway bid preparation is expected Familiarity with estimating software Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (some flexibility available) 40 hours per week This is a 100% in office role - not hybrid or remote
Compensation & Benefits:
Total Compensation Package:
