Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. We are seeking an experienced Ready Mix Area Manager to oversee multiple ready mix operations across the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. This leadership role is responsible for advancing a strong culture of safety, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial performance while supporting the organization's strategic goals and long-term business objectives. What You'll Be Doing Lead and promote a strong safety culture across multiple ready mix locations and teams. Drive operational performance, quality standards, and customer service excellence throughout the area. Develop, coach, and support plant managers, supervisors, and frontline employees to achieve business objectives. Manage area financial performance, including budgeting, production efficiency, asset utilization, and cost control. Partner with customers, sales teams, and operational leaders to support growth, continuous improvement, and market competitiveness. What Are We Looking For Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and foster employee engagement and accountability. Strong operational and business acumen with the capability to manage multiple locations and competing priorities. Proven ability to analyze performance metrics, identify opportunities, and implement effective solutions. Effective communication and relationship-building skills with employees, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders. Commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement in a production or construction materials environment. Work Environment This position operates within ready mix production facilities, customer locations, and office environments. Regular travel between sites is required. The role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, construction environments, moving equipment, noise, dust, and uneven terrain.
