Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented MEP Inspector to oversee the installation, inspection, and compliance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems on construction sites. In this role, you will ensure that all MEP work aligns with project specifications, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth project progress by conducting thorough inspections, analyzing technical drawings, and ensuring regulatory compliance across public infrastructure construction projects. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inspections of MEP systems during various phases of construction to verify adherence to plans, specifications, and building codes. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to assess installation accuracy and compliance. Perform detailed quality control checks and construction quality inspections to identify defects or deviations from standards. Collect data through site observations, measurements, and documentation to support quality assurance processes. Ensure all work complies with relevant construction regulations, safety regulations, and contractual requirements. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and engineers to resolve issues related to MEP installations promptly. Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformance reports, and compliance documentation for project tracking. Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites within civil infrastructure or public works projects, specifically in MEP or related roles. Strong knowledge of building code analysis, construction regulations, safety standards, and quality inspection procedures. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction specifications. Familiarity with construction management practices including contracts and data collection methods. Excellent analysis skills to identify issues early and recommend effective solutions for quality control. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for report writing, documentation, and communication purposes. Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough site inspections while adhering to safety regulations.
