- Safely operate and drive a 2021 EFFER articulated knuckle-boom truck.
- Transport scaffolding, sidewalk-shed materials, construction equipment, and related materials to and from job sites.
- Safely load, unload, lift, and place materials using the EFFER boom.
- Set up outriggers and stabilize the truck properly before crane operations.
- Review load weights, load charts, lifting capacities, site conditions, clearances, and potential hazards before each lift.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, crane, outriggers, hydraulic systems, rigging equipment, and safety devices.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and promptly report mechanical, hydraulic, or safety concerns.
- Secure all materials and equipment in accordance with applicable DOT requirements and company procedures.
- Work closely with field supervisors, site crews, riggers, signal persons, and project managers.
- Safely operate in congested NYC streets and active construction environments.
- Follow company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, DOT regulations, and all applicable local requirements.
- Maintain accurate vehicle inspection reports, delivery records, equipment logs, and required documentation.
- Keep the truck, crane, and assigned work areas clean and organized.
- Assist with yard operations, equipment loading, and other duties when required. Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B or Class A license.
- Clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of boom truck, knuckle-boom, articulating-crane, or truck-mounted crane operating experience.
- Experience operating an EFFER, Palfinger, HIAB, Fassi, or similar articulated crane preferred.
- Current crane-operator certification appropriate for the equipment and work being performed.
- Ability to read and understand crane load charts, lifting capacities, and operating limits.
- Experience with rigging, load securement, and safe material handling.
- Knowledge of proper outrigger setup, ground conditions, overhead hazards, and safe lifting practices.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.
- Experience working in construction, scaffolding, steel, building materials, or heavy equipment preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly with ground personnel, signal persons, supervisors, and customers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe operations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as required. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience transporting and handling scaffolding or sidewalk-shed materials.
- Experience operating equipment in New York City or other congested urban environments.
- NYC construction-site experience.
- NCCCO certification or other applicable crane certification.
- Familiarity with EFFER crane controls and remote operation. Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and driving record. Overtime opportunities may be available. Schedule
