Artemis ITS, Inc. is expanding its telecommunications construction operations in Arizona and is hiring an experienced HDD Locator for a permanent, self-performing FTTx crew. This is a hands-on position for an experienced HDD locator who can work closely with the drill operator, understand underground utility risk and support the complete drilling operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Locate and track the drill head throughout the pilot bore Communicate pitch, depth, direction, and correction requirements to the operator Review bore plans and identify critical utility crossings Verify Arizona 811 markings and assist with positive exposure of utilities Conduct walkover surveys and evaluate interference Maintain safe separation from existing utilities Record bore-path information and prepare accurate as-built data Assist with setup, potholing, mud operations, pullback and restoration Stop work and escalate unexpected utility conflicts or unsafe conditions Drive and support transport of crew vehicles and equipment as authorized

REQUIREMENTS

At least two years of HDD locating experience Experience with DigiTrak, Subsite or comparable locating systems Ability to interpret pitch, depth, signal strength, and interference Strong knowledge of utility crossings and damage prevention CDL preferred; Class A CDL receives priority consideration Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to work outdoors and perform physical construction duties OSHA 10 preferred Final candidates will complete a paid practical field evaluation.
