HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILL OPERATOR.

Full-Time Pay:

$36-$40 per hour, based on proven HDD experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate HDD equipment safely and productively
• Perform daily inspections, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance
• Set up and anchor the drill correctly
• Read bore plans and coordinate continuously with the locator
• Monitor pitch, depth, rotation, thrust, pullback force, and drilling-fluid conditions
• Select appropriate tooling, reamers and drill heads
• Assist with mud mixing, potholing, reaming and product pullback
• Protect existing utilities and immediately stop work when conditions are unsafe
• Load, secure and transport equipment in compliance with company and DOT requirements
• Accurately document footage, materials, equipment hours and delays
• Support restoration and other crew activities when drilling is not underway

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum two years of recent HDD operating experience
• Class A CDL and valid medical certificate
• Experience with Ditch Witch, Vermeer or comparable HDD rigs
• Experience drilling in congested utility environments
• Knowledge of drilling fluids, tooling and bore planning
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and daily equipment maintenance
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical construction duties
• OSHA 10 preferred Applicants selected for final consideration will complete a paid practical field evaluation.

Pay Details:
