Hillis-Carnes Engineering is actively seeking a Geotechnical Driller Helper for our Woodbine, MD office. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the geotechnical drill rig operations and drilling techniques, but willing to train a good candidate. Candidate needs to be reliable, motivated, possess a positive attitude, and have a good work ethic. Experience with Hollow Stem Auger and Casing Advance Drilling, Mud Rotary Drilling, Split Spoon and Shelby Tube Sampling, and Rock Coring. Projects will be primarily located in MD and DE with the possibility of work in other states.REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to meet additional pre-employment requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong work ethic, team player attitude, responsible, and reliable
- Must be able to work out of town when needed
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
- Clean and maintain company vehicle, drill rig, and equipment
- Work closely with site leadership to ensure that scope of work is being met within a timely schedule and in accordance with the safety standards
- Produce daily reports and boring logs
- Successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company-provided training and mentoring

- Salary range is between $20 and $24/Hour and will be negotiated based on experience.
