In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of fireplaces, including gas, wood-burning, and electric models, ensuring each installation meets safety standards and customer specifications. Your expertise will contribute to creating warm, inviting spaces for our clients while maintaining the highest quality and safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about construction, remodeling, and delivering exceptional service in outdoor and indoor environments. Pay depends on what You bring to the table. May start off with not a ton of hours, but you being here and doing a good job will create more work and more high paying hours. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications related to fireplace installations. Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding or ladders, and ensuring all necessary tools and materials are on hand. Install fireplaces using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed, adhering strictly to safety protocols. Manage building material installation including framing, drywall, stucco, plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry to create seamless finishes around fireplaces. Conduct plumbing and electrical work required for gas lines, wiring, and venting systems associated with fireplace units. Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines. Collaborate with project managers to review construction plans and provide accurate estimates for materials and labor. Perform site inspections during various phases of construction or remodeling projects to ensure quality control. Operate heavy equipment safely when necessary for site preparation or material handling in outdoor hardscaping or hardscape construction projects. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly after each project phase. Experience Experience in building construction or remodeling projects with a focus on fireplace preferred. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, drywall installation, caulking, Familiarity with interpreting some technical drawings and construction plans is important. Experience with plumbing systems including gas lines and electrical wiring related to fireplace units is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites including OSHA standards or equivalent safety training certifications. Outdoor work experience in hardscaping or exterior renovations is a plus. Uunderstanding of building materials such as drywall, stucco, concrete pavers (hardscape), and related finishing techniques is a plus.
