Job Description

Craftsman Technician - Drywall & Paint Focus (Part-Time to Full-Time)
Pay:
$32-$40 per hour, depending on experience, with pay steps as you add skills. No need to carry your own insurance or run your own crew. Just bring your craft. Love the craft, but tired of running the business? If you've been running your own truck, you know how much of the job isn't the work: finding leads, writing estimates, chasing invoices, carrying insurance. We handle all of that. You focus on the work and the customer, and you get paid every two weeks for the hours worked. TruBlue of Great Hills & Georgetown is a family-run business with the backing of a national brand (120+ locations). We help seniors stay safe in their homes and give busy families their weekends back. We're a high-trust company: customers invite us into their homes, and many are older homeowners who want to stay there safely. You bring the skill that makes a repair disappear: patches nobody can find, textures that match, and crisp paint lines. Run a two-person crew? Talk to us about bringing your helper on board too. Schedule This role starts part-time and grows to full-time as we scale. Weekday daytime hours, Monday through Friday, typically between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. No on-call and no overnight travel. Local work across North Austin and Williamson County. What You'll Do Repairs and upgrades across the home: Trim and doors, flooring, fixture swaps, ceiling fans, small tile work, exterior repairs, and punch lists. See "Plus at Least Two" below. Your specialty, drywall repair: Everything from nail pops to full-sheet replacements, including water-damaged walls and ceilings, new patches with backing, and small non-structural framing for niches and boxes. Your specialty, texture matching: Knockdown, orange peel, skip trowel, popcorn, and smooth finishes. Skim coats to Level 4-5. Your specialty, painting: Prime and paint rooms, ceilings, trim, doors, and accent walls. Exterior trim and touch-ups. Clean prep, crisp lines, and floors and furniture protected throughout.
Housecall Pro:
Check-ins, before-and-after photos, and job notes from your phone. Who You Are (Must-Haves)
Experience:
3+ years of paid residential drywall repair and painting in owner-occupied homes (5+ preferred).
