Compensation Range:

$25-$42

Job Summary:

We are looking for motivated and dependable individuals to join our team. Our ideal candidate has a strong interest in pursuing this trade as a career and is excited to learn skills and gain experience to accomplish that goal. Under the direction of a journeyman level electrician an electrical apprentice performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring and equipment on commercial and industrial projects. Duties include working with tools, installing conduit, wire, junction boxes, electrical lighting and other labor activities as assigned. Must keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion, maintain a clean work area at all times, demonstrate safe work habits and exhibit proper care of all tools and equipment. Assignments are received from, and the work is performed under the general supervision of journeyman level electricians. While construction experience is not required, we expect candidates to have some familiarity with hand and power tools. You must be able to follow directions, climb heights, and be willing to help with any aspect of an electrical project. Must have previous experience in an apprenticeship program.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Measure, install and terminate wire and cable.
  • Layout and install electrical conduit.
  • Install, replace and repair electrical devices such as receptacles and switches.
  • Install, replace and repair fluorescent, LED and general lighting fixtures.
  • Install and terminate disconnects, control relays and circuit breaker panels.
  • Preparation, handling, and supplying of materials and tools be used by electrical trades
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
  • Load / unload equipment and material.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment
  • Stage materials and equipment.
  • Cut and thread rigid conduit.
  • Digging and backfilling trenches for running underground electrical pipe conduit.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Must be previously enrolled in Apprenticeship program in your second year.
  • Experience with reading blueprints or electrical schematics
  • Construction or electrical experience a plus
  • Skills with basic hand and power tools
  • Physical stamina
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to learn
  • Willingness to Travel throughout the state as needed min_experience: 2
