Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Wireman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, including high and low voltage applications, as well as proficiency in using various hand and power tools. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs are performed safely and in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for industrial equipment. Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation requirements. Conduct renovations involving electrical work while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project completion. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Operate equipment such as scissor lift, articulating man lift and forklifts. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician in both industrial and commercial settings. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage, low voltage, and NEC standards. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation accurately. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred. Familiarity with renovation projects and construction site protocols. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous maintenance person experience is a plus.
