This role involves high-volume, hands-on work on significant fabrication projects, and we require someone with existing expertise rather than an entry-level trainee. Candidates must be seasoned professionals ready to manage machinery autonomously from their first day. You should also be prepared to support various shop floor activities to ensure production remains on schedule. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety, with the ability to independently burn plate and roll pipe, plate, and angle profiles according to precise engineering specifications. Core Responsibilities Manage CNC burn table startup, execute pre-loaded cutting programs, confirm nesting layouts, and initiate cuts autonomously to maintain efficient production flow. Utilize 4-roll plate rolling machinery to shape steel up to 1-1/2" thick and 10' wide, creating components like vessel cans, storage tank shells, and manway necks. Operate 3-roll pipe and angle rollers to bend materials, including pipes up to 4' in diameter and angles ranging from 1"x1" to 5"x5" in both leg-in and leg-out configurations. Support a safe and efficient workplace by utilizing overhead cranes and forklifts to maneuver heavy raw materials and finished products. Ensure high standards of output by verifying parts against blueprints, resolving cut-quality issues, and organizing etched components for the fabrication team. Required Qualifications Possess 5-10 years of professional experience in plate rolling and cutting. Demonstrate proficiency in shaping and managing stainless steel or carbon steel materials. Maintain the ability to perform all job functions with minimal oversight. Be prepared to demonstrate your technical proficiency through a hands-on equipment operation assessment before an offer is extended.
