Lead Electrician/Foreman
Job Description
We are seeking skilled Marine Electricians Foreman to join our team. As a Marine Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment on marine vessels. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of marine electrical systems and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Marine Electrician Foreman- Pay starting at $37.00+/hour (DOE)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Able to perform simple Electrical disconnects and have the capacity to interpret multimeter usage and functions. High voltage and 3 phase power Understand the process of Energized Electrical work chits and the process to obtain and perform Electrical Energized work chits; understanding the Safety requirements of carrying them out Understand the requirements of NSTM Chapter 300 concerning Electrical Safety Perform basic functions of Electrical tool checkout, repair and verification of equipment Electrical Safe Integrity. Develops, submits, and closes out WAFS, to include verification and concurrence of all necessary tag out requirements to safely perform necessary work. (Must qualify in company lockout/ tag out program.) Safely disconnects and reconnects electrical equipment; effectively completing equipment disconnect documents as required Demonstrates the ability to accurately follow work item specifications All other duties as assigned
•Foreman position will require direct supervision and oversight of electrical department, accurate records of work performed, and direct involvement with production management in planning and executing assigned projects.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Marine Electrician or similar role Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for electrical work Knowledge of high voltage systems and equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in workmanship
