Shift:
2nd Shift (Initial 4-week training on 1st shift required) Overview Synergy Employment Group is proud to recruit for a Permanent, Direct Hire Electrician A position with a premier manufacturing facility in Clayton, DE. This is a stable, Union-represented career opportunity where you are a permanent member of the team from Day 1. If you're looking for long-term job security, a structured union environment, and the ability to significantly increase your take-home pay through seasonal overtime, this is the role for you.
The Schedule & Earning Potential:
In-Season (May - Nov 15th): Maximize your earnings with a 7-day/12-hour schedule (5:00 PM - 5:30 AM). This peak period offers extensive overtime pay. Off-Season (Nov - May 15th): Transition to a 4-day/10-hour schedule (5:00 PM - 3:30 AM), providing excellent work-life balance for half the year.
Onboarding:
You will complete a comprehensive 4-week training program on the 1st shift with the Maintenance Manager before moving to your permanent 2nd-shift rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, install, and troubleshoot complex electrical systems and industrial equipment. Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to perform repairs. Diagnose and maintain PLC systems, AC/DC drives , and motor controls. Use diagnostic tools such as volt-ohm meters (VOM) and ammeters to ensure optimal equipment performance. Adhere to all plant safety rules, PPE requirements, and hygiene regulations.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma/GED plus formal electrical training or equivalent field experience is required.
Experience:
Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing electrical environment is preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, controls, and safety standards.
Equipment:
Must supply and maintain personal hand tools appropriate to the electrical trade.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk constantly, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently. How to
