Full-Time Pay :
$49,500.00 - $59,800.00 per year (related industry experience increases salary step)
Job Description :
Lake Technical College is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Electrician to join our instructional team as an Electricity CTE Instructor . This position offers a rewarding opportunity to train and mentor students preparing for careers in the electrical industry through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on lab experiences. The ideal candidate will bring strong industry expertise, a commitment to safety and code compliance, and a passion for developing the next generation of skilled trades professionals. Instruction will focus on foundational and advanced electrical concepts, including wiring methods, circuitry, blueprint reading, and adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC) . This position's primary location is at our Lake Technical College So uth Campus in Clermont, FL , and follows a 206-day instructional calendar . The student schedule is Monday through Thursday (8:00 am - 4:00 pm) , with half-day instructor planning on Fridays (8:00 AM - 11:30 AM) .
Requirements :
1. Minimum 3 years of verifiable industry experience in the electrical field. 2. Possession of a Journeyman or Master Electrician License (preferred but not required). 3. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry practices. 4. Teaching experience is a plus, but not required. 5. Ability to provide hands-on, face-to-face instruction in both classroom and lab environments. 6. Commitment to maintaining a safe training environment and modeling professional work habits. Technology Literacy desired : 1. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 2. Basic computer skills and internet use. 3. Ability to learn virtual software platforms.
