PRIMARY PURPOSE
Assists with all aspects of I&E on an offshore production platform. Executes day to day I&E activities according to safety standards. Coordinates and completes documentation and activities necessary. Ensures production equipment is maintained according to company standards. Assists teams with developing solutions to rectify issues that may hinder production activities. Works with interdisciplinary offshore teams to develop solutions to mitigate production stoppages due to repair/ maintenance activities on production platforms.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that regular preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance / repair activities and special projects involving electrical systems are performed in a timely manner so as to prevent downtime, ensure the efficient and continual functioning of all electrical equipment on board the production platform Direct hands-on participation in executing and supervising instrumentation and electrical maintenance activities, both routine and non-routine, across the platform Problem solve and properly plan all electrical projects which may include installing wire and connecting electrical components to various motors, all electrical power generation sources, rectifiers and circuits, transformers, power distribution systems, etc Be fully conversant with the responsibilities of an Issuing / Performing Authority within the PTW system for keeping the worksite safe and clean, and ensuring all isolations are performed using the stated isolation procedures Assist with repairing refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems, galley equipment, washer / dryers, computers, etc as directed and qualified Be fully conversant with Emergency and Operating Procedures and all relevant regulations; be aware of and adhere to such regulations so as to develop a safe and efficient working environment Ensure that the electrical work is performed in a safe manner while complying with all state, federal and company rules and regulations as they pertain to the electrical components on the production platform Provide assistance to the Mechanic and Compliance Technician when requested to do so Problem solve, read and work from electronic blueprint drawings, trouble shoot & isolate down to a particular module then change defective module, install wiring and connects electrical components to various electronic equipment Be familiar with and have the ability to troubleshoot problems with the Programmable Logic Computer (PLC) system and the networking drive control systems Report any issues impacting process safety, personnel safety, and environmental conditions Assist with all regulatory required testing, inspections, and completion of all required paperwork

Familiar with the needs and requirements of Permit To Work (PTW) systems Knowledgeable and capable of interpreting Process and Instrument Drawings (P&IDs), troubleshooting and repairing level controllers, pressure / temperature controls, flowmeters, PLCs, and transmitters Experience in installation, repair, and troubleshooting of all instrumentation and electrical equipment Experienced in power electrical installation works such as power cables, control circuits, and power transformers Recruitment Fraud It has come to our attention various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
