Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on new construction, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver top-quality electrical solutions. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and retail environments using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform electrical diagnostics to identify issues within complex electrical systems, including low voltage, high-voltage wiring, and industrial electrical setups. Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes for safety and compliance. Conduct routine maintenance on industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Execute electrical wiring tasks for construction sites, renovations, or upgrades while following strict safety procedures. Troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently by analyzing circuit problems and implementing effective solutions promptly. Skills Proven experience as an electrician in industrial and commercial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Expertise in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading for accurate installation and troubleshooting. Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes to ensure safe practices. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing devices like voltmeters and ohmmeters. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems effectively using diagnostic techniques involving PLCs and other control devices. Experience working on high-voltage wiring projects with a focus on safety procedures for hazardous environments. Construction site experience with a track record of completing projects on time while maintaining quality standards. Familiarity with low voltage systems, blueprint reading, renovation projects, and general construction experience is highly desirable.
