We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew. Our projects are performed in a variety of active, secure, and mission-critical facilities, including VA hospitals and other healthcare facilities, jails and correctional facilities, airports, military bases, government facilities, and commercial/industrial buildings. Responsibilities
- Electrical Installation & Construction
- Install, bend, route, and support conduit; pull and terminate wire and cable; install panels, breakers, disconnects, transformers, lighting, receptacles, switches, and other electrical devices and equipment.
- Service, Repair & Maintenance
- Perform electrical repairs, replacements, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades in new construction, renovation, and occupied facilities.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
- Identify electrical faults, test circuits and equipment, troubleshoot power and control issues, and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Blueprints & Layout
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, schematics, panel schedules, specifications, and construction documents; lay out work according to plans and field conditions.
- Panels & Circuits
- Install and work with branch circuits, feeders, raceway systems, grounding and bonding, electrical panels, and related distribution equipment.
- NEC & Safety Compliance
- Perform work in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA requirements, site-specific safety rules, and company quality standards.
- Secure & Critical Facilities
- Follow site access, security, badging, escort, and work-area requirements when assigned to VA hospitals, healthcare facilities, jails, airports, military bases, government sites, and other controlled environments.
- Tools & Equipment
- Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, meters, lifts, ladders, and other job-site equipment required for electrical work.
- Team Coordination
- Work closely with foremen, other trades, and site representatives to keep installations on schedule and resolve field issues.
- Travel
- Travel to project locations as needed and maintain dependable attendance at assigned job sites. Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of electrical construction experience, preferably in commercial and/or industrial environments.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial electrical systems, NEC requirements, electrical tools, and safe work practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, specifications, and other construction documents.
- Must be able to meet customer and site access requirements, including background screening where required.
- Dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and with a team.
- Journeyman license or certification preferred but not required, depending on experience and project requirements.
- Must be able to Travel.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a Background check
