Licensed Journeyman Residential Electrician - Kailua-Kona Big Island Electric, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Licensed Journeyman Electrician with extensive residential experience to join our Kailua-Kona team. This position is intended for an experienced electrician who can independently perform high-quality residential electrical work from underground rough-in through final completion. Experience with custom homes and working directly with general contractors and homeowners is highly desirable. Responsibilities Complete residential electrical installations from underground through finish Read electrical plans and perform jobsite layout Coordinate effectively with general contractors, homeowners, inspectors, and other trades Install electrical services, panels, lighting, devices, equipment, and specialty systems Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve field conditions Maintain BIE's standards for safety, workmanship, productivity, and professionalism Work independently while contributing positively to the project team Qualifications Current Hawaii Journeyman Electrician license Extensive residential electrical experience Strong knowledge of residential wiring methods and electrical codes Ability to read plans, specifications, and electrical drawings Ability to perform layout and complete assigned work with limited supervision Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Professional appearance and communication skills Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Why Join Big Island Electric?
