Job Summary Louisville steel manufacturer has as an opening for an Industrial Maintenance Electrician. You will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of manufacturing facilities through expert electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, and PLC controls. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment, supporting manufacturing processes and equipment reliability. You will be responsible for maintaining PLCs and electrical systems, performing repairs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep production running smoothly and safely, contributing directly to the success of our manufacturing operations. Duties Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex industrial equipment using schematics, electrical blueprint reading, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage circuits, to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage spare parts inventory efficiently. Repair and maintain industrial machinery such as hydraulics, pneumatic systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other mechanical components. Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions. Operate precision measuring instruments like ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess system health and performance. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing facility maintenance with a strong focus on PLCs and industrial electrician work. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage, low voltage, electrical blueprint reading, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving hydraulics, pneumatics Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management and documentation. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately; strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters; experience with electrical diagnostics is essential. Mechanical knowledge related to industrial maintenance including equipment troubleshooting and repair techniques. Excellent communication skills in English; customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or clients. Strong safety awareness with adherence to all safety protocols during maintenance activities.
