Company Overview Double Envelope is a leading national envelope manufacturing facility in Middle River, Maryland is searching for an Industrial Controls technician. This facility converts large rolls of paper into multiple styles and sizes of transactional business return envelops. Industries we serve are medial insurance, utility companies and local government agencies. Job Overview The successful candidate would work with the plant management and envelope machine adjusters to participate in a maintenance and troubleshooting program on high-speed envelope manufacturing machines, making 1000 envelopes per minute. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and servo motors and drives on high-speed envelope machines. Maintain the plant production power system. Interpret schematics and equipment manuals. Work with machine adjusters to recognize and plan preventive maintenance. Perform Preventive Maintenance to increase equipment reliability and uptime. Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work to achieve both production and maintenance goals.

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. 2-years of industrial electrical experience or two-year technical degree preferred. PLC experience preferred, Allen Bradley SLC500, Control Logix, Troubleshooting Knowledge of variable frequency drives, servo drives and motor controls to 480 volts Ability to read electrical schematics to troubleshoot plc controls and servo motors. Mechanical troubleshooting experience to replace pneumatic valves and regulators. Experience with scrap paper balers and pneumatic scrap paper conveying systems. Experience with 480-volt air compressors and large volume vacuum pumps.

Pay:

$40.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 55.0 per week
