Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Machine Tool Electrician specializing in Automation to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on automated machine tools, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, motors, and control panels. Maintain and repair electrical systems using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Conduct preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components to minimize downtime. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to log work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule inspections. Troubleshoot pneumatic systems, hydraulic circuits, and mechanical issues using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Assist with equipment upgrades or modifications involving electrical systems or automation controls to improve operational efficiency. Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting complex issues and implementing solutions that enhance equipment reliability. Support the training of team members on electrical safety procedures and proper maintenance techniques. Qualifications Proven experience in industrial electrician roles within manufacturing facilities or similar environments. Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting pneumatic/hydraulic systems, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial control systems, and automation equipment repair. Familiarity with CMMS platforms for maintenance management. Skilled in welding techniques such as stick welding for equipment repairs when necessary. Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with HVAC/R systems is a plus. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters for analysis and troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge of industrial mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general maintenance practices. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent customer service orientation when working with internal teams or external vendors. Effective communication skills in English to document issues clearly and collaborate across departments.
