COMPANY OVERVIEW

SUMMARY:
Duties include support of Ultraform Industries' quality and engineering departments as it pertains to interpreting and presenting dimensional data in a metal forming environment. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Optical Comparator and other precision measurement tools. Program, Operate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machine equipment (CMM). Performs layouts for production process and assess gathered data to determine/maintain quality and reliability of products Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) as well as capability studies Provide supporting layouts and related documents for PPAP submissions Layout inspection gages/fixtures, as needed. Manage gage calibration schedules and ensure calibrations are completed before their due dates. Minor gage repairs. Understanding equipment capability limits in relation to engineering drawings, diagrams and formulas. Analysis of all print feasibilities for dimensioning and GD&T Ability to address layout data in communications with team members, customers and vendors EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
: Dimensional Layout (minimum 3 years experience) Automotive manufacturing experience (Tier 1 and Tier 2) with emphasis in metrology solutions Experience with PC-DMIS software (minimum 2 years experience) GD&T experience a plus. Experience supporting
IATF 16949
quality audits Skilled in the use of Microsoft office solutions (Word, Excel, etc.) Strong communication and problem solving skills Expected hours: 40.0 per week
