ELECTRICIAL TECHNICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for providing programing, troubleshooting, installation and repair of vehicle electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems within the manufacturing industry. This position requires you to use your excellent problem-solving skills, high attention to quality and safety, and positive teamwork attitude to drive your career.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Perform commissioning function on high voltage systems as designated by NF checkouts, SWI's, and other relevant documents
Proficient in trouble shooting and resolving high voltage system failures of all types (including related controls and communication systems) using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment
Thorough understanding and compliance with high voltage safety protocol and practices
Install software, test, diagnose, and repair all Customer Installed Option system issues and confirm functionality. Examples include but are not limited to AVA/AVL systems, video systems, destination sign systems, and NF Connect
Ability and willingness to train and/or support employees in a junior classification
Maintains tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner
Thorough understanding of ECN and EAD process
Utilize work experience and skills learned to fill in as an Electrician I, anywhere in the department, when normally assigned Electrician I are absent or not available
Able to adjust to and handle changing priorities
Ability to work with minimum supervision Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Minimum 5 years experience in electrical and mechanical diagnosis and repair.
High voltage experience a plus.
Previous PLC, ladder logic, AC and DC system experience.
Experience reading engineering documents, wiring schematics and instructions.
Commitment to organizational health and safety standards and procedures.
Strong problem solving and communications skills.
A valued team member who builds collaborative relationships through honesty and integrity.
Accountable with a strong attention to detail and quality, while meeting deadlines.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb up and down ladders.
Flexibility to work both first (1st) or second (2nd) shift.
Intermediate level computer skills preferred.
Associate degree in automotive discipline, electronics, or equivalent vocational school preferred. Benefits
