Job Description

Summary :
Is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems in an asphalt production facility.
Essential Functions :
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components in asphalt plants, including motors, conveyors, control panels, and lighting systems. Maintain and inspect electrical wiring, circuits, and systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes. Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging devices. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to reduce downtime and improve plant efficiency. Work with automation and control systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives). Collaborate with plant operators, maintenance personnel, and management to resolve electrical issues. Assist with upgrades, modifications, and new installations of electrical equipment. Maintain records of electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Required Skills & Experience :
Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and motor control circuits. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments, sometimes in extreme weather conditions. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
