High SchoolResponsibilitiesAn Electrician Supervisor supervises on-site electrical installations, leads a team of electricians, and ensures all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards. They bridge the gap between field operations and project management, keeping jobs on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Field Leadership:
Direct, assign, and inspect the daily work of journeymen and apprentice electricians.
Project Planning:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to schedule labor, track materials, and anticipate job site needs.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce OSHA regulations, local codes, and site-specific safety protocols; conduct daily safety briefings (toolbox talks).
Quality Control:
Inspect work in progress and completed installations (conduit layout, wiring, panel terminations) for compliance and quality.
Communication:
Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve job site conflicts and report daily progress. Qualifications & Requirements Active Journeyman or Master Electrician License (required). 5+ years of commercial, industrial, or residential electrical experience. 1-2+ years of supervisory or crew-lead experience. National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
