Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial facilities using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform electrical diagnostics using multimeters such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to identify faults or issues within electrical circuits. Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring work safely in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines. Maintain compliance with NFPA 70 standards while working on industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low-voltage systems. Troubleshoot complex electrical problems by analyzing schematics, wiring diagrams, and system configurations to determine root causes. Follow all electrical safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team during construction, renovation, or maintenance projects. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and industrial electrical components. Knowledge of local electrical codes, safety procedures, and compliance standards such as NFPA 70 and NEC. Proficiency with troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools like voltmeters, ohmmeters, and circuit testers. Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, pliers), power tools, and other essential equipment for electrical work. Construction site experience preferred; familiarity with renovation projects is a plus. Ability to interpret schematics effectively while working independently or as part of a team. Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; additional certifications in industrial or commercial wiring are advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality work in fast-paced environments.
