Electrical Supervisor - Industrial Machinery We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead the electrical department for an established manufacturer of complex industrial machinery and equipment. This is a key position within the manufacturing operation. All electrical work is performed in-house as equipment is built, including control panel assembly, machine wiring, electrical installation, testing and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on background with industrial machinery, electrical control panels and machine wiring, along with the ability to supervise and lead a team of electrical technicians and panel builders. Responsibilities Supervise and provide daily direction to the electrical department Lead electricians, electrical technicians and control panel builders Coordinate electrical work with machine build and production schedules Oversee electrical control panel assembly and wiring Oversee complete machine wiring and electrical installation Assign work and establish priorities to keep projects on schedule Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and machine drawings Ensure machines are wired according to engineering drawings and specifications Troubleshoot electrical and control system problems during machine assembly and testing Work with motors, starters, relays, contactors, sensors, switches, VFDs and other industrial control components Work closely with electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and manufacturing Identify problems with drawings, components or machine wiring and help develop solutions Inspect completed electrical work for quality and accuracy Assist technicians with difficult troubleshooting and wiring issues Ensure proper electrical and safety practices are followed Help train and develop electrical department employees Support machine testing and final checkout prior to shipment Help improve electrical assembly, panel building and machine wiring processes Qualifications Strong experience with electrical systems used on industrial machinery Extensive knowledge of electrical control panels and machine wiring Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Knowledge of industrial controls and electrical components Strong electrical troubleshooting skills Previous supervisory, lead electrician or electrical department leadership experience preferred Experience working for a machine builder, automation company, systems integrator or industrial equipment manufacturer is highly desirable Ability to organize multiple machine projects and manage changing priorities Strong communication and leadership skills Hands-on attitude and willingness to assist the team when needed Key Opportunity This is not a facilities electrical position. The electrical department is directly involved in building complex industrial machinery from the ground up.
