In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in residential settings, ensuring safety and compliance with all local and national electrical codes. Responsibilities Install and upgrade electrical wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures in residential properties. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting. Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults or system inefficiencies. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential electrical systems while adhering to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards for safety and compliance. Troubleshoot complex electrical problems involving low voltage systems, high-voltage wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical components. Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety procedures, and industry best practices for electrical safety procedures. Collaborate with construction teams during renovations or new builds to coordinate electrical work seamlessly within the project timeline. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in residential wiring projects. Demonstrated industrial electrician experience or commercial electrician experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety standards. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading skills. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, and industrial electrical systems. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), power tools, hand tools, handymen experience, frame carpentry skills preferred.
