Project Manager - Master Electrician Menken Generators | Jenkintown, PA | Full-Time Menken Generators, a leading Kohler Generator Dealer in the Philadelphia area, is seeking a Master Electrician to lead and complete residential and commercial generator installations with the help of an assistant. This hands-on role requires expertise in electrical systems, gas plumbing, project management, and job site oversight to ensure high-quality, code-compliant installations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and complete generator installations from start to finish, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Perform all electrical work, including wiring from the generator to the ATS using liquid-tight conduit. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including high-voltage applications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems. Handle gas plumbing (propane and natural gas) for generator hookups in compliance with safety codes. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to diagnose and resolve electrical issues. Create material lists prior to each job and ensure trucks are stocked, organized, and maintained. Track project costs, materials, and expenses to maintain profitability. Learn and use software for job tracking, warranty processing, and product registration. Ensure all installations are properly registered with manufacturers for warranty coverage. Conduct inspections to verify installations meet the National Electrical Code (NEC) , local codes, and safety standards. Supervise and train junior electricians/apprentices on best practices and safety protocols. Lift up to 80 lbs and deadlift up to 150 lbs as needed for installations.

Qualifications:

Valid Master Electrician license for Philadelphia. (NJ and DE licenses preferred.) Valid OSHA certification. Proven experience in residential and commercial electrical installations , including high-voltage systems. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes. Ability to read blueprints and work in various environments , including construction sites. Proficient in using hand tools and electrical testing equipment. Experience with gas plumbing (propane and natural gas) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail to ensure safety and quality standards.
