Job Description

Riggs Industries is seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and local electrical codes. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced working in commercial and/or industrial environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in compliance with state and federal regulations. Plan and perform new or modified electrical installations Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit Pull and terminate wiring through conduit systems Install and connect lighting fixtures, power equipment, and grounding systems Install electrical distribution and control equipment including switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels Test electrical systems and components for continuity, compatibility, and safety Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical systems and equipment Observe system performance and recommend adjustments or replacements as needed Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety regulations Perform occasional cutting and welding of steel structural members Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Travel to job sites as required Education and/or
Experience:
Completion of a technical training program, apprenticeship, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience 2-4 years of related electrical experience preferred Strong understanding of electrical systems, tools, materials, and safety practices Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and safety manuals Effective communication and teamwork skills Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl throughout the workday Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds Ability to work at heights and in varying outdoor weather conditions Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts and electrical systems Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Work Environment:
This position regularly involves work in outdoor environments and active construction settings. Employees may be exposed to Frequent travel required
