Job Description

Job Overview Highland Tank is seeking a Production & Transportation Manager at our Stoystown, PA location. The Production/Transportation Manager is responsible for the entire order process from drawing approval/release through fabrication and delivery. The postion requires skills in Customer relations, organization, logistical planning and schedule coordination for Highland Tank product lines. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers to ensure an open line of communication
  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and General Manager
  • Manage orders from drawing approval/release through fabrication and delivery
  • Coordinate scheduling of order production with plant manager and foremen
  • Offer support to Inside Sales via freight quotations, lead time quotations and fabrication questions
  • Coordinate shipment scheduling while taking availability of completed orders, driver seniority and delivery specifics into consideration
  • Oversee purchasing of accessory materials (concrete deadmen, galvanized items, etc.)
  • Review orders prior to shipment to ensure all items are on hand
  • Oversee Transportation Assistant
  • Maintain customer contact after delivery if needed
  • Oversee daily driver paperwork, invoicing and loading paperwork in conjunction with Transportation Assistant
  • Maintain UL/STI labeling records and auditing
  • Preparation of oversized travel permits, arranging travel escorts and other oversized travel requirements
  • Maintain current driver and equipment files Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Project management skills
  • Strong Organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Work and Excel
  • Ability to read blueprints

Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
