Based on electrical experience, construction experience, demonstrated knowledge, and skill level Position Summary Southern Electric LLC is seeking a dependable and motivated electrician or individual interested in developing a long-term career in the electrical trade. Applicants may include experienced electricians, electrical apprentices, or construction laborers who have worked for an electrical contractor and are actively learning the trade. Starting pay will be determined by the applicant's experience, electrical knowledge, practical abilities, and performance during the interview and skills assessment. Responsibilities Assist with or perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance. Work on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Safely use common construction tools, including drills, hammers, tape measures, ladders, and hand tools. Follow instructions, electrical plans, company procedures, and jobsite safety requirements. Work cooperatively with electricians, apprentices, project managers, and other trades. Maintain an organized and professional work area. Arrive at work and assigned jobsites on time and prepared to work. Continue learning electrical methods, materials, codes, and safe work practices. Qualifications Construction experience is required. Electrical experience is preferred but is not required for applicants who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to learn. Must know how to properly use basic construction tools. Must be dependable, punctual, respectful, and able to work as part of a team. Must be willing to work in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must demonstrate safe and responsible work habits. Must be committed to professional growth within the electrical trade. Skills Assessment and Continued Development Applicants should expect to complete a practical skills and electrical knowledge assessment during the interview process. The assessment will be appropriate to the applicant's stated experience and will help Southern Electric LLC determine job placement, responsibilities, training needs, and starting pay. Employees will be evaluated periodically based on: Electrical knowledge and workmanship Safe and proper use of tools Productivity and quality of work Attendance and punctuality Ability to follow instructions Teamwork and professional conduct Progress toward greater responsibility and independence Southern Electric LLC expects every employee to continue learning and advancing in the electrical trade, regardless of their starting experience level.
