An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

, and applicable local, state, and federal codes. Diagnose electrical malfunctions using appropriate test equipment and perform corrective repairs efficiently and safely. Work primarily with 3-phase 480V systems , with occasional work on 4,160V and 13,800V electrical systems. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, conduit, controls, and components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Identify malfunctioning systems and components, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure electrical systems remain compliant and reliable. Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to support continuous mining and processing activities. Observe and follow all safety regulations and consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Rectifier experience is a plus. Required Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 4 years of electrician experience , preferably in industrial, mining, or heavy manufacturing environments. MSHA certification or willingness to obtain. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and diagrams. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision electrical testing instruments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office . Desired Qualifications Experience working with rectifiers and medium- to high-voltage systems .
