About the job Progress and Heritage is a local, licensed electrical contractor looking for an experienced electrician for as-needed cover work, a few days a month. Semi-retired electricians are welcome , and so is anyone looking for occasional side work without a full-time commitment. This is not a full-time position. It's a good fit if you want to stay in the trade on your own terms. What you'll do Handle residential service calls, small residential, and light commercial jobs Troubleshoot, repair, and install to code Work directly with homeowners and explain the work in plain terms Occasionally help on larger jobs What you'll need A Virginia Journeyman or Master Electrician license (required) Solid residential and service experience Your own hand tools and reliable transportation A professional, courteous way with customers A valid driver's license What you get Part-time, as-needed hours Competitive hourly pay Straightforward work with a small local shop, not a big company To apply, send a short note on your experience and roughly how many days a month you'd like to work.
