Massanutten Resort | Mountain Sports Operations Take Your Career to New Heights Do you enjoy solving mechanical and electrical challenges? Want a career that combines technical skills, mountain views, and hands-on work in the outdoors? Massanutten Resort is seeking a Ski Lift Mechanic/Electrician to join our Ski Maintenance team. This is not your typical maintenance position. You will play a critical role in maintaining the aerial lifts and surface conveyors that power our mountain operations, working alongside a skilled team focused on safety, reliability, and excellence. What You Will Do As a Lift Mechanic/Electrician, you'll help keep our mountain moving by: Performing routine maintenance on aerial lifts, our Mountain Mayhem Coaster, and surface conveyor Troubleshooting electrical systems and wiring issue Conducting preventative maintenance inspections and repair Installing and maintaining slope lighting systems Assisting with mechanical repairs and operational improvement Maintaining a safe, organized work environment Collaborating with fellow technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Have experience with basic hand tools Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Comfortable working at heights up to 70 feet Ability to lift to 100 pounds Desired Qualifications Vocational training in electrical or mechanical trades Lift operations experience Welding and fabrication experience Equipment operation experience Valid driver's license with an approved driving record Why You Will Love This Role Work in a one-of-a-kind mountain environment. Typical Schedule Days:
Spring/Summer :
Monday-Thursday, weekends and holidays required when aerial lift is operating
Fall/Winter :
Monday-Friday, weekends and holidays required
Hours:
Spring/Summer :
7am-5pm, additional hours as needed
Winter :
7am-5pm, occasional late evenings as needed Core Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on aerial lifts, the Mountain Mayhem Coaster, and surface conveyors Troubleshoot electrical wiring Conduct preventative maintenance checks Install new lighting systems Maintain a clean work area Other duties as assigned by management
Compensation Pay:
