In this role, you will support the accounting department by analyzing financial information, maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing payments, and other essential accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong mathematical skills and previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Provide assistance and support to company personnel Enter financial data and transactions Prepare bank deposits Daily entry of accounts payable and receivables in database Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the accuracy of charges and payments Answers phone, gives information, and explains procedures Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered Provides assistance to title companies for HOA payoff's for property closings Responsible for balancing of daily cash drawer Collects fees for HOA, trash, and misc. payments Qualifications Proven accounting experience, preferably as an AR & AP Specialist Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures Competency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Word Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports Accuracy and attention to detail Aptitude for numbers Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks Data entry and word processing skills Well organized High school degree, Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus
