Continental Shift 6pm - 6:30am About the Role We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support daily production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, industrial machinery, packaging equipment, and bakery production equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on troubleshooter with strong electrical knowledge who can work independently and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns. Key Responsibilities Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot motors, transformers, relays, switches, sensors, safety relays, and other electrical components. Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot PLC systems , including connecting/going online and replacing I/O cards. Support instrumentation, packaging, and process control systems. Perform preventative and predictive electrical maintenance. Complete work orders through a
CMMS/EAM
system . Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation. Perform equipment changeovers according to production schedules. Follow Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, Confined Space, and Electrical Safety procedures. Provide technical support to continuous improvement initiatives. Train production employees and apprentices on electrical safety and maintenance practices. Qualifications 3-5+ years of industrial electrical experience. Journeyman Electrician OR Associate's Degree in a related technical/electrical field. Electrically trained and qualified. Master Electrician license preferred/required based on applicable requirements. Strong knowledge of electrical safety requirements and Arc Flash Safety . Experience troubleshooting electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and I/O components . Ability to use electrical test equipment such as multimeters. Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Valid driver's license. Technical college or vocational training is a plus. Food manufacturing or large-scale bakery experience is highly preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to work 12-hour shifts . Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Ability to stand, climb, stoop, bend, and work in confined or awkward positions for extended periods. Comfortable working around moving machinery, varying temperatures, humidity, noise, and industrial environments. Ability to work in temperatures ranging from approximately -10°F to 85°F . Steel-toe, slip-resistant safety shoes are required. Work Environment This is a hands-on position within a large-scale manufacturing/bakery environment. The Industrial Electrician will support production across multiple shifts and may travel between two local plants or attend training seminars as needed. Interested?
