We Are Hiring:
Experienced Estimator ๐ ๏ธ๐ Are you an experienced Estimator with a strong background in commercial plumbing and mechanical construction? Our client, a leading commercial mechanical construction firm, is looking for a skilled Plumbing Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator who understands commercial plumbing systems, enjoys working with numbers and details, and can help deliver accurate, competitive estimates for major construction projects. ๐น What You'll Do- Perform detailed job takeoffs and pricing for commercial plumbing and mechanical projects
- Obtain, review, and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive project pricing
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Estimating to develop and maintain estimating databases and spreadsheets
- Work as an Estimator to ensure a smooth transition of projects from the estimating phase to project management
- Lead and finalize estimates, including preparing clear and professional scope letters
- Communicate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, clients, and internal team members ๐น What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience as a plumbing or HVAC Estimator
- At least 5 years of prior estimating experience in commercial construction
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing, piping, and mechanical installations
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimating software; Estimation and/or Quicken experience preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, particularly during scope reviews and vendor negotiations
- Journeyman Plumber or HVAC license, or equivalent experience, preferred ๐น Why Join the Team?
