Job Description

Summary An Estimator is responsible for working within the Estimating Department, while working closely with the Sales Team to ensure the Company is sending out winning quotes. Duties and responsibilities performed by the Estimators are intended to provide costs for projects, communicate with clients and vendors, and understand customer specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review plans, job specifications, and request pricing from manufacturers to generate quotes Prioritize and organize quotes, as requested Maintain quote board of all quotes and bids ongoing within the Estimating Department Occasionally attend manufacturer training seminars to build product knowledge Create detailed and accurate job quotes to hand off to the Sales Team Collaborate with the Sales Team and project teams to create winning quotes Update software programs, as needed All other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Great attention to detail Strong communication skills both verbal and written Ability to multi-task several projects and maintain organization Basic understanding of food service CAD symbols Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Ability to read, scale, and measure plans Understand MEP utilities as they relate to plans Preferred Qualifications Previous Estimating experience AutoQuotes experience Supervisory Responsibility This position has no current supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and works under fluorescent lighting. Noise levels are moderate. Physical Demands Ability to make repetitive substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Ability to hear, read, and speak in order to communicate with employees, customers, vendors, etc.
