The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation and management of project estimates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle with concentration of Grading and Paving. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. Analyze blueprints and other documentation to develop accurate project scopes. Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure estimates align with project goals. Utilize software tools such as Insite and ProContrator for efficient estimating processes. Conduct site visits to gather information necessary for accurate estimations. Manage contracts and negotiate terms with subcontractors and suppliers. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints. Provide support in project management activities, including scheduling and resource allocation. Assist in developing strategies for cost control and risk management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required. Proven experience in construction estimating or a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with project management principles is an asset.
