We are looking for a motivated, technology-minded individual who is interested in building a long-term career in the construction industry. We are looking for someone who already has strong computer skills, AI experience, social media knowledge, and must be able to read and understand construction blueprints. You do not need to be an experienced mason. We are willing to train the right person in the masonry field and develop them into an Assistant Project Manager in the future. The ideal candidate must already be comfortable with computers and modern technology, AI tools including ChatGPT and other AI platforms, online research and communication. Organizing information digitally, learning and using new technology to improve business operations, professional communication through email, text, and other digital platforms. We will train the successful candidate in masonry construction and terminology. Responsibilities Reviewing construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine material requirements and project scope. Support the preparation of detailed cost estimates for commercial masonry construction projects using estimating software such as Tradesmen's and Bluebeam. Collaborate with project managers and clients to communicate scheduling, pricing strategies, negotiate costs, and ensure alignment with project budgets. Utilize construction management software and spreadsheets to track costs, update estimates, and manage project data efficiently. Participate in material cost estimating by interpreting blueprints and reviewing construction drawings to identify quantities and specifications. Contribute to cost control efforts by monitoring project budgets, managing change orders, and assisting with contract review processes. Gain experience in managing projects as a construction estimator by supporting bid preparation, pricing analysis, and client communication. Requirements Ability to read and understanding construction blueprints, construction drawing review, and interpreting technical documents. Familiarity with estimating software such as Tradesmen's or Bluebeam is preferred; willingness to learn new tools is essential. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and cost tracking. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, negotiation, and team collaboration. Highly organized and detailed oriented, dependable, professional, self-motivated, and willing to learn with the ability to learn quickly. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
