Job Description

Strategic Painting and Remodeling is a professional residential and commercial painting and remodeling company serving clients throughout Central Florida. We are committed to quality workmanship, reliable scheduling, clear communication, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Construction Estimator to join our team. This role combines estimating, project management, field inspection, logistics, and client coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction processes and terminology, the ability to interpret drawings and scopes of work, and experience developing accurate material and labor estimates. The successful candidate will manage projects from initial site visits and estimating through completion, coordinating clients, crews, subcontractors, vendors, materials, schedules, and project documentation. Key Responsibilities Review drawings, blueprints, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work to develop accurate estimates. Conduct site visits and job walks to evaluate existing conditions and gather project information. Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, bid packages, and contract documentation. Calculate material, labor, subcontractor, and equipment costs. Use estimating and project management software to prepare and track projects. Obtain and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors. Coordinate materials, equipment, deliveries, crews, and subcontractors to maintain project schedules. Oversee daily project activities and conduct progress and quality inspections. Ensure work complies with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards. Monitor project costs, budgets, schedules, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and cost information. Communicate regularly with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Identify and resolve project issues while maintaining professional client relationships. Support accounts receivable and other project-related administrative processes as needed. Identify opportunities to improve estimating, scheduling, cost control, and customer experience. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or a closely related role. Experience in painting, remodeling, general construction, or commercial improvement projects preferred. Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, and site operations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work. Strong understanding of material and labor costs and construction cost-control practices. Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, crews, materials, and job-site logistics. Strong inspection and quality-control skills. Excellent negotiation, communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with basic computer applications; experience with estimating or project-management software is preferred. Knowledge of contract administration and accounts receivable is a plus. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Central Florida. Ability to provide three professional references from previous employers , including contact information.
