reviews $80,000•$120,000 a year•Full-time We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing bid proposals, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure our projects are financially viable, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects while honing your skills in cost control, pricing strategies, and project planning. Develop comprehensive construction estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and scope of work using industry-standard estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analyses to determine accurate pricing for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services. Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, ensuring all aspects of the project are accurately represented and aligned with company standards. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to maintain budget adherence and implement cost control measures as needed. Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure compliance with scope, budget, and schedule requirements. Support project management teams by providing detailed estimates that inform scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage subcontractor relationships and procurement processes. Solid understanding of construction estimating principles including quantity takeoffs, pricing strategies, and cost control techniques. Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and project execution. Knowledge of contracts, project management practices, and construction management processes. Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and present estimates clearly. Ability to analyze complex project data accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
