In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, building strong relationships with clients, and ensuring timely deliveries. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help us deliver outstanding service while maintaining compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. Duties Safely operate a variety of vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver products across designated routes. Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS and route planning tools to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting techniques, adhering to safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, answer questions about products, and build positive relationships through excellent customer service. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition for safe driving. Skills Strong driving skills with experience in commercial driving and route navigation. Basic math proficiency for pricing calculations, measurements, and inventory management. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Proven ability to build customer relationships through friendly and professional service. Knowledge of merchandising techniques to ensure proper product presentation during deliveries. Organizational skills to manage schedules, paperwork, and delivery documentation efficiently. Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks while following safety guidelines for safe lifting practices. Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance standards for commercial truck driving. Retail store experience is a plus, especially in sales or customer service roles that involve upselling or client interaction.
