We're seeking an experienced Estimator who can transform customer requirements into accurate, competitive proposals for custom automation equipment, workholding devices, fixtures, tooling, and precision manufacturing projects. If you enjoy collaborating with engineering, sales, and production while solving complex manufacturing challenges, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact with a stable, growing precision manufacturer. Compensation & Benefits $65,000-$85,000 annual salary Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid Life, AD&D, STD, and LTD insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off Stable, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to work on unique, custom-engineered manufacturing projects What You'll Do Prepare detailed estimates and customer quotations for custom automation, tooling, fixtures, and workholding projects. Review RFQs, statements of work, engineering drawings, and customer specifications to develop accurate project costs. Collaborate with sales, engineering, designers, and shop personnel to develop practical manufacturing concepts. Communicate with customers to clarify project requirements and ensure complete project scope. Obtain supplier pricing and lead times for purchased components. Analyze labor, material, machining, and manufacturing costs to develop competitive proposals. Maintain historical cost data and stay current on manufacturing technologies that improve project value. Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting customer deadlines. What We're Looking For 5+ years of manufacturing, tooling, engineering, purchasing, planning, or estimating experience. Experience estimating custom automation equipment, fixtures, tooling, or workholding solutions. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems. Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Engineering degree preferred but not required with relevant industry experience. Every great project starts with a great estimate.
