This role supports estimating and preconstruction efforts from initial takeoff through bid submission. We're looking for an individual who is self-driven, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within our company. Whether you have foundational experience or are early in your construction career, HHCG provides hands-on, on-site training and mentorship to help you advance into a strong contributor within our estimating group. Responsibilities Review plans, specifications, and addenda to determine scope requirements Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimating Send bid invitations and coordinate subcontractor pricing Analyze subcontractor proposals and compare scope coverage Prepare budgets, bid tabs, and estimate packages Support value engineering and cost-saving alternative evaluations Participate in internal preconstruction meetings and strategy sessions Qualifications Entry-level acceptable, mid-level preferred (1-5 years in construction estimating or related roles) Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred (but not required with experience) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam, Procore, or estimating software is a plus Self-driven, motivated, and eager to learn through hands-on training Ability to work full-time in office What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Health insurance, 401(k), and retirement benefits available for employees who enroll Company-sponsored training and on-site learning opportunities Growth opportunities into a full-time Estimator or senior estimating role A supportive, relationship-driven culture that values craftsmanship and accountability Schedule Full-time In-office, Monday-Friday Occasional field visits for training and project support Work Location Corporate Office — Wichita/Kechi, KS (In-office position)
