Job Description
Electrical estimator role responsible for preparing and managing industrial and commercial construction bids, interpreting plans and schematics, and supporting field-connected project execution. Job Requirements 3 to 5 years of relevant experience required; 7+ years preferred Experience in electrical estimating for industrial or commercial construction Field experience within the electrical construction industry Expertise in reading and interpreting complex plans, specifications, and electrical schematics Experience managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Experience coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, team members, and community stakeholders Experience in industrial or commercial construction in field and/or office roles Preferred Skills 7+ years of electrical estimating or related construction experience Proficiency with estimating software, including McCormick Experience with Bluebeam and other construction software tools Strong understanding of NEC, construction sequencing, and industry best practices Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Equivalent advanced field experience Supervisory experience leading technical teams Experience with design-build or design-assist projects Familiarity with industrial automation and controls Knowledge of local labor markets, suppliers, and subcontractors Risk evaluation and profitability analysis Job Responsibilities Prepare estimates and bids for industrial and commercial electrical construction projects Read and interpret plans, specifications, and electrical schematics Manage multiple bids and bid deadlines at the same time Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, internal team members, and external stakeholders during the estimating process Support project planning with field-informed electrical construction knowledge Review project scope, construction sequencing, and code-related requirements Evaluate bid risk, cost factors, and project profitability Use estimating and construction software tools to develop accurate bid packages Support design-build and design-assist estimating efforts where applicable
