Job Description

Position Overview:
Responsible for estimating and evaluating project costs while assessing the complexity of each project and determining the cost of labor and materials
General Areas of Responsibility and Tasks:
Compile data such as labor rates, material prices and overhead to estimate the project cost Analyze blueprints to determine wire lengths as well as suitable outlet placement based on electrical codes Determine the amount, type and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project Determine the amount of labor required to complete each project Complete and submit competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines Regularly update cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs Evaluate labor and material costs to determine whether it is more feasible to construct electrical components or subcontract the construction of components. Communicate with clients regularly in a professional manner Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors
Skills & Requirements:
3-5 Years Field Experience, Commercial/Industrial Microsoft Windows, Excel & Word and experience with Outlook Motivated self-starter Result Driven Conscientious of deadlines Communication skills to include phone, person to person and internet Must be able to read blueprints Utilization of Google and other search engines Experience with electronic estimating software is preferred but not required (McCormick, Trimble, Accubid, etc.) Other Duties as Assigned Perform additional tasks needed to support the team and company objectives, adapting as the company evolves.
